New Class!!!  The Alcott Uke Group is open to students in grades 1-3.  The uke is an excellent instrument on which to learn how to play music. It's relatively simple to learn, easy to tote around, inexpensive, super fun, and timelessly popular!  In this ensemble, we will jump right into the fun stuff and learn how to play music on the ukulele. By the end of the course, students will know a few chord positions, will be able to play a couple of songs on the ukulele, and be able to sing along. Our instructors bring a classroom set of ukuleles with them to every class for the kids to use and we highly recommend that students also have a ukulele at home to practice.

Winter Session Ukes meets on Monday's in the Music Room from 7:50-8:50, Jan 8th to Mar 26th (10 classes).  Our class does not meet on Holidays or minimum days 1/15, 2/19.

All students in grades 1-4 are welcome to join the fun new Alcott Chorus.  Open to beginning and experienced students.  Students will learn musicianship skills, singing in multiple parts, following a conductor, music reading  skills, and they will get to have fun making music with their schoolmates!  We will be learing breathing and warm ups, playing singing games, singing folk songs, and also singing popular/movie music.

Chorus meets on Monday's in the Music Room from 3:35-4:35, Jan 8-Mar 26 (10 classes).  Our class does not meet on Holidays or minimum days .

New Class!!!  The Alcott Group Piano class is open to students in Grades 1-3.  Learn piano in a fun social group atmosphere! Group piano class provides students an excellent introduction to the keyboard and prepares them for more serious private study as well as playing in a band/ensemble. Most importantly, students will begin to develop the skill of playing music with their peers which provides a lifelong benefit.  Our class takes a modern approach to keyboard education and students will benefit from our carefully thought-out curriculum that incorporates all of the latest software and music technology. Using digital keyboards, students will be able to simulate a wide variety of musical instruments and styles (rock, orchestral, etc.).  Our teachers will focus on developing the students’ core keyboard skills: hand position, note-reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and theory while rehearsing a repertoire of rock, pop, and classical songs.

New Class!!!  Alcott Yoga+Mindfulness is open to the lower campus grades 1-5.  This exciting and fun-loving yoga class for children offers an introduction to basic breathing, yoga postures, mindfulness techniques and relaxation to support the development of strength and flexibility in their mind and body. Students will learn the value of stillness and movement by engaging in playful activities to promote self awareness and improved social interactions with others.

Winter Session Yoga meets on Wednesdays in the Gym from 7:50-8:50, Jan 10-Mar 28 (12 classes).  No classes held on Holidays (none in this term).

New Class!!!  The Alcott Hip Hop Dance class is open to students in Grades 1-5.  

Dance uplifts, unites, and empowers children.  It also provides children with an opportunity to express their individuality while working on gross motor skills and developing cognitive and social skills.  Hip Hop is the perfect class for children who want to dance, stay active, and learn how to freestyle!  Musicality, rhythm, and creative movement are key components of this fun, urban/street-style dance class that teaches boys and girls alike to step, stomp, and shake it out.

Alcott Winter Session Hip Hop is open to students in grades 1-5 and runs on Friday's from 3:35-4:35 in the Gym, Jan 12-Mar 30 (9 classes).  No classes on 1/26, 2/16, 3/9.
