Hip Hop Dance

The Highlands Rec Hip Hop Dance class is open to students ages 4-10.
Dance uplifts, unites, and empowers children. It also provides children with an opportunity to express their individuality while working on gross motor skills and developing cognitive and social skills. Hip Hop is the perfect class for children who want to dance, stay active, and learn how to freestyle! Musicality, rhythm, and creative movement are key components of this fun, urban/street-style dance class that teaches boys and girls alike to step, stomp, and shake it out.
FALL - 2022
Hip Hop is open to students ages 4-10 and runs on Wednesday's from 2:15-3:15 in the MPR, Aug 24 -Sept 28 (6 classes) and Oct 12-Dec 14 (9 classes). No class meeting on 11/23.
Cost for the Fall Session is $24. Tuition covers all class materials. After registration, students are welcome to attend the first class of the session to "try it out" with the offer of a full refund if the class is not a fit. Please notify us when your student will be absent from class.
WINTER- 2023
Hip Hop is open to students in Pre-K and K-3 and runs on Wednesday's from 2:15-3:15 (K-3) and 3:15-3:45 (Pre-K) in the MPR, Jan 11-Mar 22 (11 classes). No omits this term.
Cost for the Winter Session is $24. Tuition covers all class materials. After registration, students are welcome to attend the first class of the session to "try it out" with the offer of a full refund if the class is not a fit. Please notify us when your student will be absent from class.
SPRING 2022

Guitar Group
Thursdays
3:15-4:00
Enroll is these fun group classes and you will learn guitar care, tuning, strumming patterns, chords, single note melody lines, music terminology and the skills needed to play many of your favorite songs. It's necessary for the students to have their own guitars and for them to bring them to every class. Practicing at home is a requirement for the students to reach their maximum potential. Open to beginners as well as more advanced players.
FALL 2022
Guitar Group meets in Room TBA on Thursday's from 3:15-4:00, from Aug 25-Sept 29 (6 classes) and Oct 13-Dec 15 (9 classes). No class meeting 11/24.

Ukulele Group meets in the MPR on Tuesday's from 4:35-5:35, from April 12- June 7 (9 classes). No omits this term.
