All students in grades 2-5 are welcome to join the fun new Parkmead Guitar Group!  Beginners are very welcome! In these fun group classes you learn guitar care, tuning, strumming patterns, chords, single note melody lines, music terminology and the skills needed to play many of your favorite songs! It’s necessary for the student to have their own guitars and bring them to class. Practicing at home is a requirement for the students to reach their maximum potential.

Spring Session meets in room 25 on Wednesday's from 2:40-3:40, Feb 7-May 2 (12 classes).  Our class does not meet on 4/4.

Cost for the Spring Session is $256.  Tuition covers all class materials.  After registration, students are welcome to attend the first class of the session to "try it out" with the offer of a full refund if the class is not a fit.  Please notify us when your student will be absent from class.  Register below to save your spot!

The Parkmead Uke Group are open to students in grades 1-5.  The uke is an excellent instrument on which to learn how to play music. It's relatively simple to learn, easy to tote around, inexpensive, super fun, and timelessly popular!  In this ensemble, we will jump right into the fun stuff and learn how to play music on the ukulele. By the end of the course, students will know a few chord positions, will be able to play a couple of songs on the ukulele, and be able to sing along. Our instructors bring a classroom set of ukuleles with them to every class for the kids to use and we highly recommend that students also have a ukulele at home to practice.

All students in grades 1-5 are welcome to join the fun new Parkmead Kids Chorus.  Open to beginning and experienced students.  Students will learn musicianship skills, singing in multiple parts, following a conductor, music reading skills, and they will get to have fun making music with their schoolmates!  We will be playing singing games, singing folk songs, popular/movie music, and some classic choral repertoire.  

Spring Session Chorus meets in the Multi Purpose Room on Fridays from 2:40-3:40, Feb 9-May 4 (9 sessions).  Our class does not meet on 2/16, 3/2, 3/30, 4/6.
