PBS Group Piano
Phillips Brooks Piano Group is open to students in grades K-2. Learn piano in a fun social group atmosphere! Group piano class provides students an excellent introduction to the keyboard and prepares them for more serious private study as well as playing in a band/ensemble. Most importantly, students will begin to develop the skill of playing music with their peers which provides a lifelong benefit. Our teachers focus on developing the students’ core keyboard skills: hand position, note-reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and theory while rehearsing a repertoire of rock, pop, and classical songs.
FALL - 2019
Fall Session Piano Group is open to students in K-2 and runs on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 in room TBD, Sept. 10 - Dec. 3 (12 classes). No class on 11/26.
Cost for the Fall Session is $360.
WINTER - 2020
Winter Session Piano Group is open to students in K-2 and runs on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 in room TBA, Jan. 7 - March 10. (8 classes). No class on 2/11, 2/18.
Cost for the Winter Session is $240.
Spring
Spring Session Piano Group is open to students in K-2 and runs on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 in room TBA, April 14 - May 19 (6 classes). No omit days.

PBS Songwriting and Guitar
New Class! Songwriting and Guitar is open to students in Grades 3-5 This is a complete, step-by-step, and fun class to turn you into a confident and creative songwriter on the guitar. We start at the very beginning, assuming that you don't know anything about songwriting, and take you through until you're able to construct a song arrangement, create chord changes for each part, create melodies to go with the chords (for singing or soloing), make your own rhythms & timing, and add your own creative mark over everything as you control all aspects of your songwriting. This class is focused of how to write songs with the guitar as your main instrument, so please plan to bring your own acoustic (nylon or steel string) guitar to each class.

Fall Session Songwriting and Guitar is open to students in 3-5 and runs on Fridays from 2:30-3:30 in room TBD, Sept. 13 - Dec. 13 (9 classes). No class on 9/20, 10/18, 10/25, 11/15, 11/29.
Cost for the Fall Session is $270.

Winter Session Guitar and Songwriting is open to students in 3-5 and runs on Fridays from 2:30-3:30 in room TBA, Jan. 10 - March 13. (8 classes). No class on 2/21, 3/6.
