The Sunset Piano Group is open to students in grades K-2.  Learn piano in a fun social group atmosphere! Group piano class provides students an excellent introduction to the keyboard and prepares them for more serious private study as well as playing in a band/ensemble. Most importantly, students will begin to develop the skill of playing music with their peers which provides a lifelong benefit.  Our teachers focus on developing the students’ core keyboard skills: hand position, note-reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and theory while rehearsing a repertoire of rock, pop, and classical songs. We bring a set of keyboards for the students to every class.  We recommend that kids also have an instrument at home on which to practice.

FALL - 2019

Group Piano meets in Room 105 on Monday's from 2:50 - 3:50 p.m. from Sept 9-Dec 9 (10 classes).  Our class does not meet on 10/14, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25.

Cost for the Fall Group Piano class is $289.

WINTER - 2020

Group Piano meets in Room 116 on Monday's from 3:25-4:25, from Jan 27 - May 11 (13 classes).  Our class does not meet on 2/17, 3/9, 3/30.

Cost for the Winter Group Piano class is $376. 

Students in Grades K-2 are welcome to join the Sunset Uke Group.  The uke is an excellent instrument on which to learn how to play music. It's relatively simple to learn, easy to tote around, inexpensive, super fun, and timelessly popular!  In this ensemble, we will jump right into the fun stuff and learn how to play music on the ukulele. By the end of the course, students will know a few chord positions, will be able to play a couple of songs on the ukulele, and be able to sing along. Our instructors bring a classroom set of ukuleles with them to every class for the kids to use and we highly recommend that students also have a ukulele at home to practice.

FALL - 2019

Uke Group is open to students in grades K-2 and runs on Tuesday's from 2:50 - 3:50 in Room 103. Dates for this class are Sept 10-Dec 10 (12 classes).  No class held on 11/19, 11/26.
